Here are some basics guidelines to follow before you complete the Project 31 Concurrent Enrollment Application Packet: 

• A student must be between the ages of 18 - 22 years old and in a transition program.
• All students must follow the 91·çÔÂÂ¥ Code of Conduct rules.
• Concurrently enrolled students do not receive priority registration.
• Concurrently enrolled students can not take Physical Education courses.
• All students must follow the Credit/Noncredit matriculation process.
• Students that participate in concurrent enrollment are not allowed a matriculation exemption.
• Students may take up to 2 Noncredit courses.
• Students wishing to take a Credit course must have at least a 2.0 high school grade point average.
• Students may potentially take 1 Credit course if they have completed between 120-204 high school credits. If they have over 204 high school credits, they may take up to 2 Credit courses. Being admitted into a Credit or Noncredit class is contingent on their 91·çÔÂÂ¥ placement score, meeting prerequisites, and space availability. 
• We encourage new special education students to see a DSPS counselor prior to enrolling to plan appropriate courses and arrange classroom accommodations. Please bring an IEP (and high school transcripts, if seeking Credit courses). We ask that students call in advance to make an appointment. The Ocean DSPS phone number is 415-452-5481 and the John Adams DSPS is 415-561-1001. When students are calling for an appointment they should state that they are enrolling as a concurrent student from (name of high school).
• The 91·çÔÂÂ¥ grades that students receive will become part of their permanent record.
• Please understand that college Credit classes are more advanced and accelerated.

While 91·çÔÂÂ¥ welcomes concurrently enrolled special education high school transition students, our first priority is in serving our continuing college students, those that have attended and are seeking re-admission, new college students who have graduated from high school and adults seeking to continue their education at CCSF. Therefore, we will be strictly enforcing the policies and procedures outlined in the guidelines.

To be considered as a concurrently enrolled student high school student under the age of 18, Section 76011 of the California Code of Regulations requires the recommendation of the high school principal and consent of a parent or guardian.

Since Project 31 students are ages 18-22, we do not require a parent signature, unless the student is conserved; however, since the student is still linked with SFUSD for transition services, we do require a permission form signed by the high school principal or designee.
