Instructor Bio

I began teaching at City College in 2010 in the Mathematics department, after spending a year at Santa Rosa Junior College as an adjunct. I have taught a variety of classes here but have been fortunate enough to teach this class regularly.

I live with my wife, Molly, and our two boys Atticus (~12 years) and Riyaz (~9 years), and our cat Rosie. We lived in Bayview for 11 years before moving to the Excelsior in December of 2022. I walk my kids to their school in the Excelsior in the morning, and then I skateboard or bike or bus to school.

Outside of spending time with my family, I enjoy skateboarding, being active in my children's schools, coaching my kids' soccer teams, being politically active, listening to Giants games on the radio, working on my house, and weeding.
