Instructor Bio
Hi there! I'm glad to see you here. If you're taking my class, you'll get to know a lot about me throughout the semester, but for those of you that I don't have the pleasure of meeting yet, here's a bit about me.
I grew up in a really small town and went to CSU Stanislaus in Turlock, CA where I obtained my Bachelor of Art's degree in Communication studies. As a first generation college student, I know firsthand how hard it can be to navigate the ins and outs of college, so I work hard to offer up lots of information to my students about programs and basic needs.
I moved to San Francisco in 2015 to obtain my Master of Art's degree in Communication Studies from San Francisco State University. Since then I have taught at many colleges around the Bay Area and the Central Valley where I also taught public speaking and interpersonal communication to incarcerated students at two different prions.
When I'm not teaching I spend my time tending to my 33 different house plants that make me very happy. I also enjoy playing board games with my housemates and when I need a much needed break from reality, I like to watch reality shows like Love Island and Married at First Sight. Catch me on the streets protesting for Black Lives Matter and demanding an end to state sanctioned violence.
Thanks for stopping by to get to know me!
