Catalog Description

An intermediate portfolio production course preparing students for a career in commercial, documentary or fine arts photography or for transfer to a four-year institution. Focus will be on technical and aesthetic issues as well as portfolio presentation and marketing strategies. Widens and deepens the skills, techniques, methods, and processes learned in PHOT 130A. Emphasis on personally expressive themes and content. Expanded concepts, and complexity of techniques and processes.

Section Notes

This class requires in-person and live online meetings. Students will have access to the 91·çÔÂÂ¥ PHOT lab, equipment, and printers. Live online meetings take place on Mondays from 1:10 pm – 4:00 pm and require the use of CityZoom, Zoom’s web conferencing platform in Canvas, using an internet-enabled device. In-person meetings will occur on Wednesdays from 1:10 pm – 4:00 pm at Ocean Campus and culminate in an end-of-semester group show and public portfolio walkthrough.
